RESTORATION & HISTORIC SITE PRESERVATION

Westgate stormwater pond

Westgate Stormwater collection pond, Prince George, BC

We work independently or with other consulting specialists to restore aging and weathered sites back to a sustainable, functional and attractive environments. At a residential subdivision development in Tumbler Ridge, we were selected by Quintette Coal Ltd. to develop biotechnical solutions to facilitate erosion control and bank stabilization of several cutbanks. At Canfor Pulp Mill in Prince George, we generated a written report on a recommended restoration process and a maintenance planning program. In Terrace BC, we collaborated with Parks Canada and Kitselas First Nation to develop a master site plan for a proposed interpretive center at the Kitselas Heritage Site, adjacent to the Skeena River.

For the historic Wells Barkerville Cemetery in Barkerville, we received a regional citation award from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects for the creation of a restoration policy and standards. Working in collaboration with the Heritage Branch of Ministry of Small Businesses, Tourism and Culture, these standards provided the framework for ongoing restoration treatment and present day burial procedures.
